NAIAS LABS was invited to make a presentation to the Chinese Classification Society’s (CCS) Mediterranean Technical Advisory Committee Meeting, held at the Athens Intercontinental Hotel on April 20th, 2023. The presentation addressed “The New Environmental Challenges in Shipping”.

The key climatic change drivers and the ensuing focusing on the decarbonization of energy use in shipping were discussed.

The various alternative marine fuels were also looked at, accompanied by the corresponding main concerns related to their use in shipping. The meeting was well attended and successful.
